Run for a Reason!

What it is: Run for a Reason is an opportunity to raise money for any cause you care about, while doing something you were going to do anyway!

Where: Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle.  (Meet at the Starbucks on 68 E. Madison at 8:30 AM and then we'll all head over to Grant Park at 9:15)

How it works: Runners who are already registered* with the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle can sign up for Run for a Reason (above) and start your fundraising page on GiveForward.org by hitting "Start Fundraising"!  Once you create a fundraising page for ANY cause you care about, ask your friends and family to support your efforts as you run for a reason.  Anyone who raises $200 or more will get a free Run for a Reason T-shirt and a wristband for dirt cheap drinks at our post-race afterparty. If you don't feel like fundraising but still want to join the fun, ANYONE can purchase a T-shirt and wristband for $10 to join in the party.

Why Run for a Reason is DIFFERENT:

Unlike other races where you have to raise money for a specific charity affiliated with the race, with Run for a Reason, you decide the cause to support. You can raise money for your favorite charity, your friend battling an illness, your baby niece's college education, or even volunteer travel...whatever cause or project you care about!

Then, the day of the Shuffle, we'll all get together with our Run for a Reason T-shirts and show our support as we run/walk to the finish line (depending on which race you're doing).

Who can participate:

Anyone who has registered for the Shamrock Shuffle can join in the fun. Simply sign up in the form above!

JOIN US FOR THE SHAMROCK SHUFFLE AFTER PARTY:

After the Shamrock Shuffle, we're all heading to McFadden's (1206 N. State St., Chicago, IL 60610) to celebrate!  The Boozefest starts at 11:30 AM.  Proceeds from the after party will go towards helping Jessica Cowin, a recent DePaul graduate, raise money for a kidney transplant
